Opal is the form of mineral silica, and it contains 3% to 21% of water in itself.
Opal is the gemstone of Australia, and almost 97% of the Opals in the world comes from Australia. There are other variants of Opal as well, like Matrix Opal, DentriteOpal and Boulder Opal, which are somewhat different in design and texture from the authentic Australian Opal.
