Pandora is marching steadily ahead and investing in its multi-channel retail strategy. The latest news from the jewelry makers is that it has launched an online store dedicatedly for its Australian customers.
The online store has been launched in addition to the already existing company website. According to inside sources, the idea behind launching a new e-store is to give customers an opportunity to browse and purchase jewelry products that are already available in Pandora’s physical stores and franchises. Keeping this in mind, the company has made available options of viewing pieces by category, collection, metal, theme, color, stone and price. The online store will also be offering gift suggestions for certain occasions and milestones.
Brien Winther, Pandora’s Australian president called this an “important milestone”. He said that the e-commerce site is designed to offer a “seamless” experience, similar to what’s offered in its brick-and-mortar stores.
Winther said that since today’s customers are digitally savvy, they want brands to offer consistent information and service – irrespective of the channel – in-store, online and on mobile.
The company’s Australian president also said that their internal research suggest that a large number of customer prefer to research online but prefer to buy from a physical store where they can touch and feel the product. The online store is simply fulfilling that need of the consumers, he added.
