Gilt, the company that made flash sales popular onlinehas now come up with a new campaign that is expected to take its popularity a notch higher. The online luxury flash sale site recently announced that it will soon start a unique shopping service called Gilt by Appointment.
Gilt by Appointment is a personal shopping experience that will allow members of the website to schedule an appointment before shopping at Gilt’s exclusive showroom at their New York City office.
Clay Cowan, the chief marketing officer at Gilt.com said that the new initiative was one of the newer ways for the brand to engage with members. The new appointment shopping experience will allow member shoppers to enjoy the convenience of brick-and-mortar shopping while continuing to also enjoy the perks of Gilt.com, Cowan said.
Every member who schedules a shopping appointment on the website will be assigned a personal stylist who will help in making purchasing decisions. When customers will be booking the appointment, they will have to share what they are shopping so that the shopping stylist can pull the required things together. Each shopping session will last 60 to 90 minutes.
