The fashion accessories celebs flaunted at the Golden Globe awards 2016
The awards season this year has arrived already with the Golden Globe awards and BAFTA awards being held. Less glitzy than the usual but a lot of glamour graced our beloved red carpet with actresses opting for streamline silhouettes and comfortable hemlines over the trains and sequins. Accessories added the most required amount of bling to matte color dresses, which witnessed gold, red, white and black as the favorite choices. Some of the ladies even decided to drop the see through dresses which totally plagued the red carpet in the year 2015.
Letting real stone accessories do all the shine and shimmer, emeralds and diamonds appeared to be gemstones of choice while Chopard, harry Winston and Neil Lane chose the heavy favorites for supplying them.

The first position for best statement neckpiece goes to Jennifer Lawrence who teamed up her red color Dior tabard top, cut gown with a diamond neckpiece. The necklace is a part of the high jewelry collection of Chopard which has a 156.77 carat diamonds fixed in pure 18k gold.
Another winner of the night, Lady Gaga sported the glamour of the 50s like Marilyn Monroe in a classic black velvet number from Versace and a lot of diamond jewels designed by Neil Lane.
Pulling all stops as she generally does, JLO let her accessories do all the sparkling on the red carpet grabbing the award for “Best red carpet rocks”. She transformed her yellow gown by Giambattista Valli with two hundred carat Harry Winston diamonds, a classy diamond neckpiece weighing 46.95 carat, a caftan with danglers and a radiant cut-yellow diamond ring.
The Golden Globe winner and Empire star, Taraji chose green in a massive way, donning Kimberley earrings having 107 rare carat cushions cut Gemfields Zambian emerald. She won the award for best jewels for making you green.
Another actress who picked up green as the color of the evening was Jaimie Alexander. She paired a pair of emerald green earrings and black Art-Deco printed Genny gown with emerald jewels by Lorraine Schwartz Colombian. This verdant actor won the best green goddess jewels award.
Showing off her risky sense of dressing, Cate Blanchett sparkled on red carpet in lace and fringe backless couture gown by Givenchy and she paired up the silhouette with a diamond handcuff by Tiffany & Co. which mimicked the designing details of the lace on the gown. She also wore matching pearl tassel ear cuffs. She won the award for best matching dress and accessories.
Emmy Rossum totally nailed the red carpet look with a strapless Armani Prive gown and diamond collar Van Clef and Arpels neckpiece. The intersecting pattern of the neckpiece developed a modern and classy look. She wins the award for best elegant jewels.
After a win at the night, Kate Winslet displayed her penchant for the Art deco jewelry by Neil lane while accepting the award for best supporting actress in the movie – Drama. She wore a bracelet by Art deco which paired up well with her diamond earrings. She wins the award for best Art Deco jewels.
Choosing the wild path, Olivia Wilde teamed up her flashy crimson body hugging gown by Michael Kors with the vintage jewels by Bulgari. The precious 1975 neckpiece makes her win the award for best vintage jewels.
And last but not the least, Olivia Palermo wins another award. Even though it’s not known as to why she was a part of the evet, the trendy diva and always glamourous, Palermo sported one of the masterpiece necklaces by David Webb Laurel. Her beautiful diamond necklace won her a lot of accolade. She won the award for “Best gold golden globes jewels” award.
