Whenever we see stars, either on red carpet events or off them, we only see them put their best foot forward. They are invariably always well dressed and have make-up that’s meticulously done. But before we see the end of 2015, the trend to underplay with makeup will become visibly prominent. We have already seen several Hollywood A-listers flaunt the make-under look. From Lady Gaga’s streamlined sophisticated look (done by stylist and designer Brandon Maxwell) to Sienna Miller going from the boho look to a more minimalistic look – there have been many trying the new look.
The latest to join the trend is pop star Selena Gomez, who was recently spotted ditching her usual festival style for a more sculptural look. The tailored latte-toned leather dress that Gomez sported was designed by J.W Anderson and she paired it with Nicholas Kirkwood pumps.
The leather dress worn by Gomez had an oversized buckle and was styled as a wrap. It must be remembered that the wrap is a modern-day version of the DVF’s iconic frock for the millennial set. The frock hugged Gomez’s lithe frame, making her look very feminine. The rounded hems added grace to the overall look. The strappy stilettos were definitely contrasting from the upper body and added a subtle sophistication.
