Dakota Johnson Stuns All - Appears in 100 Carats At Oscar Red Carpet

Undoubtedly Dakota Johnson has many reasons to smile. She has been the talk of the town ever since her film Fifty Shades of Grey hit the screens. At the 2015 Oscars, she sparkled in a fire engine red Saint Laurent dress but what many didn’t know was that the lady in red was actually wearing over 100 carats of jewelry!
She chose Forevermark jewels to compliment her dress. She was seen wearing four bracelets, one of which is believed to weigh a whopping 28.02 carats. To that, she added a 13.56-carat radiant-cut ring and 10 carat round studs. With so much sparkle, no wonder Dakota looked like a million bucks! Her look was completed with the shoes and clutch from Bally. It’s no wonder that Dakota has been voted as one of the best dressed in this year’s Oscars.
Dakota’s appearance at the red carpet, however, caught the media attention for some other reasons. The 25-year-old walked the red carpet with her actress mother Melanie Griffith and the two had, what many are terming an ‘awkward’ exchange during an ABC pre-show interview with host, Lara Spencer. It all started with Spencer asked Melanie whether she had watched her daughter’s recently released R-rated movie. The senior actress surprised all by saying that she hadn’t as she had no desire to watch her daughter in action. Melanie, however, said that Dakota was a really good actress and “I don't need to see that to know how good she is."At this point, Dakota’s remark proved that this topic was clearly a bone of contention between the two as she said, “Alright! You don't have to see it. Jeez. I'm like, 'you can see it' and you're just like, 'no.'”
We can surely say that amidst all the glitz and dazzle, this awkward mother-daughter spat was uncalled for.
