Celebrities Who Bared It All At the Met Gala 2015

Every year the Metropolitan Museum of Art Costume Institute Gala organizes what’s fondly called the Oscars of Fashion. The nickname is rightly given, especially when you consider the fact that here you can witness the latest fashion trends. The red carpet event of the Met Gala is always a memorable and glamorous moment. This year was no different as we saw stars walk down the red carpet in all their glory. The theme of this year’s event was “China: Through the Looking Glass”. We are not sure how the star decoded the theme but if the red carpet appearances were anything to go by, China didn’t seem to be in their mind!
This year, the fashion trend that caught our attention was not the usual gowns or the embroideries or even the exquisite jewelries. It was the dare-to-bare-it-all look that many sported. Though many expected a few outrageous looks, surely what nobody expected was the next-to-naked look of these stars. As expected Kim Kardashian was in a ‘barely there’ look but this time she didn’t lead the brigade, though we haven’t really come to a conclusion as to who led the ‘bare’ brigade. Anyway, let’s take a look at the contenders.
Jennifer Lopez
JLo is known for making red carpet appearances that make heads turn. At the Met Gala 2015, 45-year-old showed up in a sheer Versace dress which revealed as much as it hid. The gown was a one-strap nude gown which had on-theme red embellishments. Based on what we saw (and didn’t see) of her in that gown, we can say that she revealed more than 60%.
Beyoncé
It was one sheer gown after the other but the one celebrity who made us wait the longest was Queen Bey. But the wait was worth it. Beyoncé appeared in a body-baring Givenchy outfit that was all about nude embellishments. Wondering what was revealed and what wasn’t? Well, the sheer panels showed enough of her arms, back, torso, abs and legs. Based on what we saw (and didn’t see) of her in that gown, we can say that she revealed more than 80%.
Kim Kardashian
It is no surprise that Kim Kardashian is on this list. It is very rare that the reality star makes a ‘modest’ red carpet appearance. For the Met Gala 2015, she chose a sheer embellished gown designed by Roberto Cavalli. She hid some and revealed most in the sheer gown. Based on what we saw (and didn’t see) of her in that gown, we can say that she revealed about 50%.
Kendall Jenner
At first look it seemed that Kendall Jenner was most modestly dressed and we were surprised. But all changed when she turned to the side to show the full glory of her Calvin Klein dress. The dress showed quite a lot of her cleavage and more. It was definitely one of her sexiest stylish avatars. Based on what we saw (and didn’t see) of her in that gown, we can say that she revealed more than 40%.
