Vogue’s biggest issue of the year – the September issue – is ready to hit the stands on August 25. The star attraction of the month’s issue is superstar Beyoncé. The black beauty shimmers and dazzles in the body-hugging lavender lace dress that has been embellished with floralappliqués. The shoot was conducted by Vogue’s in-house photographer and the famous fashion shutterbug Mario Testino.
The singer is seen resting one hand on a chair which on her other shoulder rests a sparkly purple blazer. She is also intently staring at the camera depicting her usual ferocity. Her tousled wet hairstyle adds to the fashion quotient and we guess is her ode to her “Drunk in Love” music video.
Beyonce is making her third appearance as the cover girl of Vogue. Her first assignment with the fashion magazine was in April 2009 and the second in March 2013. She is the third black woman in the history of the renowned magazine to appear on the cover. Vogue had previously featured supermodel Naomi Campbell and Oscar winner Halle Berry.
The cover line for Beyoncé in September 2015’s issue reads as “Just B – Beyoncé and the Art of Global Domination”. Till now it is unclear the purpose of Beyoncé’s appearance in the magazine’s cover as there is no news of the singer being involved in any major projects in the coming days. But with Beyoncé, it’s better to expect the unexpected.
The fashion magazine has also shown glimpses of the shoot in a video that was recently released. In the video, Beyoncé provocatively poses for Testino. There are other shots of the shoot that can be seen in the video – one where the singer is seen in a see-through netted black mesh dress and doesn’t have any underwear on. She is also seen walking gracefully the halls of an estate in a patent leather Louboutins.
