The third edition of the Watches & Wonders 2015, which was held in Hong Kong, saw as many as 20,000 visitors this year. The show’s organizers said that despite the prevailing global economic condition, there has been a 25 percent rise in the number of visitors this year.
The four-day event has been recognized as one of Asia’s leading Haute Horlogerie exhibition. This year there were 12 world-class exhibitors who took the center stage. Buyers came from all over Asia and also Oceania were present at the event as there were registrations from Japanese, Australians and Chinese buyers at the event.
The chairwoman and managing director of the organize foundation de la Haute Horlogerie, Fabienne Lupo said that the exceptional timepieces showcased at the event express fine watchmaking. They take everyone to a journey through centuries of art and design and manufacturing expertise, she mentioned.
The Watches and Wonders show this year offered visitors with guided tours, personalized presentations, talks, watchmaking initiations and one-on-one meetings with watchmakers and craftsmen.
New timepieces that were specially commissioned for the 2015 Watches and Wonders show were also launched at the event.
