Taylor Swift is all set to welcome two new members into her famous friend's group called the “squad”. British veteran actors and friends, Sir Ian McKellen and Sir Patrick Stewart seem to be smitten by the young singer’s vocal capabilities and are using social media to let her know this.
Recently both the thespian actors gave a dramatic twist to Taylor’s songs in a recital. They gave her top-charting songs afresh feel by reciting them in their identifiable baritones. When Sir Ian read out Taylor’s hit song Bad Blood: “Cause, baby, now we got bad blood. You know it used to be mad love. So take a look at what you've done. 'Cause, baby, now we got bad blood” - it sounded like an intimate reading. He went on to also recite the lyrics of Bruno Mars’ Uptown Funk.
Sir Patrick soon followed suit and did something similar just the next day. While he was reciting the lyrics of the superhot song “Blank Space”, it seemed as if the actor was back on state for a London West End production. “Screaming, crying, perfect storms, I can make all the tables turn. Rose garden filled with thorns, keep you second guessing like "Oh my God, who is she?" I get drunk on jealousy.”
But was that all? Apparently not. After reciting Taylor’s song lyrics in the most animated ways possible, the senior actors now want to join the famous “squad”. The request was made by Sir Patrick on Twitter, and he wrote, “So @IanMcKellen recited Bad Blood and I did Blank Space on @NPRAskMeAnother. May we join the squad, @taylorswift13?”
Taylor Swift was quick to respond. She posted two photo collages of the British knights and tweeted: “Thanks for reciting my lyrics, @IanMcKellen and @SirPatStew! You've made my day. You two are ULTIMATE Squad Goals.”
Taylor Swift is known for regularly posting pictures of her glam squad which include famous names such as singer Lorde, model and actress Cara Delevingne, model Gigi Hadid and Kendall Jenner.
